What ScamCompass does
Direct answer: we help a reader identify the payment route, preserve first-line evidence and find the correct official complaint channel before deciding whether paid advice is proportionate.
A card payment, APP transfer, wire, e‑Transfer and USDT transaction do not follow one global recovery procedure. Our guides begin with the transaction that actually occurred, then separate provider action, regulatory reporting, law enforcement and civil remedies.
The material is general information, not advice for a particular jurisdiction. Its job is to make the next conversation more precise: dates, recipients, transaction identifiers, provider responses and the question that still needs answering.
How the project earns revenue
Direct answer: with the user’s separate consent, ScamCompass may share an enquiry with an independent legal or recovery partner and may receive payment for a qualified lead.
The partner must identify the entity providing any paid service, explain jurisdiction, fees and scope, and enter its own agreement with the user. A partner is not presented as “our lawyer” merely because it receives an enquiry. ScamCompass remains the publisher of the information page.
The commercial model does not change the status of evidence. A freeze is not relabelled as a refund, an anonymous story is not published as a court victory, and a high-value lead does not receive a more optimistic assessment.
How facts are selected
Direct answer: statutes, courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, ombudsmen, payment-system documentation and primary case records take priority.
Commercial articles can identify a question, but they are not the sole evidence for a deadline, legal right or recovered amount. Every material figure is paired with a source and review date. When an authority says “seized”, our page does not upgrade it to “returned”.
What we never request
Direct answer: we never ask for a seed phrase, private key, bank password, one-time code, full card details, remote access or a transfer to release traced funds.
Anyone using the ScamCompass name to request those items should be treated as a new risk. Preserve the account, domain, message and receiving address; do not connect a wallet or make a test transaction.
Our standard is precise status language, visible limits, primary sources and the reader’s right to stop after the free route.
